Sometimes a home comes along and it makes sense: good bones, flow, size, character and, perhaps most importantly these days, a sound price.
Judging by the buzz around this home when I went on a walk-through it the other day, others agree with me about the newly listed 2636 Hillegass Avenue in Berkeley. It’s a 4/2, 2,200 sq ft turn-of-the-century house sited close to Willard Park, the UC campus and College Avenue.
Highlights for me include the large back garden and a cute sun room. Downsides are the fact that one bathroom is on the first floor and the back deck is a bit clunky.
Nevertheless, I predict it will sell fast and for near asking price. Any guesses on when and how much?
