- Pick of the day: this $425,000 cottage at 2320 Carleton Street in Berkeley (above), which needs TLC, but looks like it might be worth the effort (good bones and all that).
- The quintessentially Berkeley house at 2830 Garber Street in the Elmwood has, we are told, had two offers and is expected to sell over its $1,150,000 asking price.
- We want pics: 1070 Cragmont Avenue — just listed for $795,000, and described as a gorgeous renovated mid-century modern, but no photos as yet.
- Saddest listing of the week: this boarded up Oakland home for sale for just $68,000
Update: No sooner had we posted about 2320 Carleton than it received seven offers, five of which were cash (hat-tip reader Slowhunter and Home Spun)
I love that cottage but if that’s Baja Elmwood, I live in Baja Rockridge and I don’t. I wonder why some realtors try to pull the wool over buyers eyes like that – they’ll know when they get there that it’s a stretch.
2320 is gone already. Offers were due on the 10th, and they apparently got 11 offers. Curious to see what it went for. The place needed some serious work including replacement of most of the foundation, and a good bit of dry rot/termine damage.
Wait. The description for 1070 Cragmont actually says: “huge deck and huger yard”
1070 Cragmont photos up now.
It’s described as a “mid-century,” not “mid-century modern.” Photos reflect that, I think.
I like the kitchen.
